This report comes via Pastor Ken who, is at this very moment, is in the jury room waiting and waiting and. . . !

We received word from Bob Metzger yesterday that his father died on Sunday.  His arrangements are as follows:  Visitation is TODAY from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, located at the corner of Peterson and Frankfort Avenue, across from the Crescent Hill Methodist Church.  The funeral is tomorrow at noon at the funeral home.

Congratulations to Lisa and Tom Payne and son, Sean, upon the birth of  baby Garik, on Sunday at Suburban Hospital.  Deacon Jane Tackett visited with them yesterday and she reported that the baby looked very good and that Lisa might get to come home today and that baby Garik might have to stay a day or so longer.  I tried to call her this morning to verify if she was coming home today, but calls were blocked to her room.  You might remember that Lisa had been on bed rest for the past few weeks.  Baby Garik’s birth weight was 6 lbs. 6 ozs., so that was very good.

June Priest is hoping to come home this week from Hurstbourne Rehab Center.  She “visited” home on Sunday and Lee Allen said all went well, so that means that she should be able to come home soon.

We learned yesterday that Jerry Patterson’s father died last Friday evening.  He lived in Paducah, KY and had lung cancer.  Jerry will be traveling there for the funeral on Wednesday or Thursday.

Phyllis Bunnell is recuperating at home from outpatient surgery.  She will be undergoing radiation treatments for breast cancer as soon as she is able.  Our last report was that Phyllis is doing well.
