Here are some updates on Beulah members as of today:
Nancy Leach had knee replacement surgery on Monday, October 1. After surgery, she developed complications (blood clots in both lungs) and was very sick for a couple of days. However, with the excellent care she received from Norton Hospital and her family, along with all the prayers, I am happy to report that I just spoke to her personally by phone, from the hospital, and she sounded wonderful. She is making good progress now with her rehab and she is scheduled to come home on Monday.
Mickey Johnson had Carotid Artery surgery on Tuesday, October 2, at Suburban Hospital. He was discharged to home on Thursday, October 4. He is doing well.
Mekenna Leach, daughter of Matt and Shelly Leach, suffered a seizure last week and had to have an outpatient test this past Wednesday at Kosair. Am happy to report that her test results were good and everyone is much relieved. I saw Makenna here at church on Thursday morning (she and her Daddy, Matt, were picking up big sister, Abby, from preschool) and Makenna was just fine.
Iva Dillingham remains in the Health Center at Westminster. She is 98 years old and has shingles. She is very frail.
Doug Anderson remains in his home with Hospice. His sister, Sharon, is here and caring for him.
Carrol Treese has been off from work now for several weeks and has now been informed by her doctors that she will have to be off for several more weeks. She is undergoing outpatient tests in hopes of finding out what is wrong. Her illness started with a viral infection and now the doctors aren’t sure what is happening. She will have another outpatient test on October 17.
Sympathy to Michael Adams, son of Diane Adams, upon the death of his Grandfather Poyter this past week in Texas. Michael is in Texas for the funeral. Michael is in the service (Marines) and his address is: Adams, Michael D., Lance Corp., LOC #1209 MCCES, 29 Palms, CA 92278-8253.
Upcoming Surgeries:
On Friday, October 12, Helen Sarver will have cataract surgery at Audubon Hospital.
On Friday, October 15, Larry Herbert will have surgery on his lung to remove a cancerous tumor.
Please keep all these members and their families in your prayers. Everyone have a wonderful and safe weekend.
Blessings,
Carol
