Dear Friends,

Please continue to keep Bob and Carla Wood in your prayers as they remain in Denver with Bob’s brother and his family as Bob’s mother, Edna Wood, struggles in the last weeks of her life. Edna was only recently diagnosed with cancer and it has moved very quickly.

Kathy Flowers faces surgery tomorrow. It will be extensive surgery and there is some concern about cancer. The hope is that the growth they have found will be benign. Please pray for that diagnosis and pray for Kathy’s safety during the surgery. She will be at Norton Hospital and her surgery is scheduled for 7:30 a.m.

Lori Nicholson anticipates gall bladder surgery on Monday, March 29th. Please pray that her surgery will be straight forward with an easy recovery.

Laura Pierce is having a final test today and anticipates having her gall bladder removed on Wednesday, March 31. Please keep Laura in your prayers.

Deb Sexton is again having some severe back problems – this time with her lower back. She will be going to Norton’s for a myelogram this week or next and then is anticipating surgery on the lower back. Please keep Deb in your prayers. Hold her up for complete healing. She has been suffering for a long time.

Judy Richards remains at U of L Hospital with a severe case of shingles. She is in very, very serious condition. Please pray for her healing and for her spirit.

Jill McLaughlin, one of our pre-school teachers, had very extensive surgery yesterday. She is also at U of L Hospital. Please keep Jill and her family in your prayers. They are facing a lengthy recovery.

There were 30 men here on Saturday morning for our first Presbyterian Men’s Breakfast (at least first in a long time!). They are looking to schedule another date – possibly May 15. Please remember that anyone interested in doing the High Ropes course is invited to join Ken on Sunday, April 18th at 1 p.m. You will be trained and led by an expert in High Ropes. No experience is needed.

That’s the news from the pews. Blessings, Judy
