Dear Friends,

As I write this note Katie Hockenberry, Megan Puffer, and Andrew Mills are marching down Main Street in Disney World as part of the Seneca High School Band! Jim Fledderman (Megan’s step-Dad), Steve, Laura, and Paula Mills are all watching! Hope the sun is shining on them! They will all spend another few days in Disney World and head back about 9 pm on Saturday, planning to arrive home on Sunday at 1:30 pm – please pray for traveling mercies.

Bill Boston was hospitalized the early part of this week for cellulites (serious skin infection) in his leg. He got to go home, yesterday and is doing well! Continue to keep him in your prayers for full recovery.

Kelley Adams, grand-daughter of Vernon and Donna Stout, had back surgery yesterday. She had two metal rods inserted for the correction of scoliosis. She did very well with the surgery, but was in quite a bit of pain when Ken saw her today. Please keep her in your prayers as her recovery continues.

Congratulations to Karen and Gary James, two of our newer members. They became first time grand-parents yesterday when their son, Scott and daughter-in-law, Michelle, had a new baby daughter. Everyone is doing well. Alexis Michelle James is the prettiest grand-daughter ever born from what I hear! Please keep the new family in your prayers.

We had a great Lenten Wednesday yesterday! We had 10 people for our Wednesday mid-day study of The Purpose Driven Life, and over 25 for the evening study. There were 5 young children in the nursery (under 4) and Terry had 12 K-5th graders in her group. Ken had 15 in his confirmation class. We had about 60 for a wonderful Lasagna supper with salad and home made desserts sponsored by the Fellowship and Membership Commission. It’s never too late to join us – no matter what your age! We had folks from 15 to 80-something in our evening class!

Ken and I are still planning to take a group to the movies on Saturday – “The Passion of the Christ” – and then pizza at our house afterward and discussion, if you feel like it. I’ll have definite time on the “news” tomorrow.

That’s the news from our pews for Thursday, March 4, 2004.

Blessings, Judy
