Dear Friends,

Things happen quickly around here!

Jim Rittenhouse was released from Baptist East Hospital yesterday after spending about 3 days there for some heart problems. They are re-working some medications for Jim. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. His friend, Jeanette, is watching out for him for a few days, but she doesn’t drive. If you can help out, don’t hesitate to call and offer! Thanks.

Jim Pierce had his gall bladder removed yesterday and Ken saw him early this morning and said he already looked a lot better! We hope he’ll be home today or tomorrow. He was quite sick with an infection prior to the surgery so his recovery will take a little while. Please continue to keep Jim and JoAnn in your prayers.

Ash Wednesday service will be tonight at 7:30 pm. The service lasts about 50 minutes and we do offer the imposition of ashes for those who would like to receive them.

“The Passion of the Christ” has come to Louisville and with it lots of questions and comments. On Saturday afternoon, March 6th (10 days from today), Ken and I are planning to see the movie at the Stoney Brook Cinemas on Hurstbourne. I’m guessing there will be a show around 4ish. We invite anyone who wants to meet with us at the theatre. Following the movie we will go to our home for some pizza and discussion. Two things that I am sure of – it will be very graphic and violent at times and it will be very emotional. It is rated R so keep that in mind if you intend to bring children or youth. We will do this group on an informal basis, but let us know if you want us to look for you at the movie! If more than 20 decide to attend, we will move the pizza and discussion to the Ramsey Building!! A specific time and theatre will be published as we get closer to March 6th.

I hope to see you tonight or on Sunday. That’s the news from the pews. Blessings, Judy
