Dear Friends,

Please keep your prayers strong for little Trey Biller. He has been in the hospital again since Saturday morning with a respiratory virus that can be serious – especially in infants. He is at Baptist East. I know his family would appreciate your prayers and also hearing of your prayers – send a note or card as the opportunity provides itself.

Joel Tackett underwent surgery late yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, the surgeon had an emergency so the worst part of the day was the 3-hour delay before they took him to surgery! He’s back home this morning and doing well. Both the plastic surgeon and the general surgeon were positive about the surgery. Please continue to pray for Joel’s full recovery.

John Throgmorton, Carol Daugherty’s brother-in-law, has been in the hospital for blood transfusions this week. He is battling a very strong form of colon cancer that has metastasized. They are trying to get him stabilized so that he can enjoy a month in the Virgin Islands. Their daughter and her husband live and work there! Can you imagine?? Please keep John in your prayers.

We ask for prayers for Billie Williams, pre-school assistant, whose Uncle died over the weekend. Billie traveled to the Dayton, OH area to be at the funeral.

Our sympathy also goes out to Rita Brooks. Rita’s brother died in Florida over the weekend. He had been diagnosed six months ago with lung cancer. This was Rita’s only sibling. He would have been sixty-five at the end of this month. Please hold Rita up in your prayers.

For the last several weeks we have had a young boy by the name of Mitchell Klausing on our prayer list. He is a cousin of one of our pre-school students. Mitchell (age 14) lost his battle with colon cancer on Monday. He has gone home to be with his Lord – although far too early for the family he has left behind. Please pray for Mitchell’s family.

Ken ran into Cate Tucker at the hospital yesterday and she was there because Grayson was having a stint put into one of his arteries. Grayson has a long history of heart disease. Please keep Grayson and Cate in your prayers. They live at Treighton Oak Towers in the city.

That’s the news from the Pews. Have a blessed day. Judy
