Dear Friends,

C.W. Seymour’s father died this morning at 2:40 a.m. His death was not unexpected but that doesn’t make it any less difficult. Fern Creek Funeral Home will have the arrangements. The family will not meet with them until 1 p.m. We will let you know of the arrangements as soon as possible. Please keep CW and Brooke in your prayers, as well as his brother and his wife and all of the children.

Bill McDonald was discharged from Norton Hospital on Thursday and is resting at home. Bill and Nancy do not have a phone that works currently, so please drop them a note via the regular mail and let them know of your care and concern. Keep them in your prayers as they both continue to wage various battles for good health.

Bill Slaughter remains at Suburban Hospital with his condition unchanged. He is simply weak and worn out. Please keep Bill in your prayers. He is on the 4th floor of Suburban.

Joel Tackett is anticipating further surgery to “clear the margins” from where they originally removed his tumor. His surgery is now scheduled for February 3rd. They anticipate that this surgery will take care of everything and unless there is a recurrence he will not have any need for chemotherapy or radiation. He is also dealing with Type II diabetes and learning new eating habits and discipline. Most of us know how hard that can be! Please keep Joel in your prayers.

That’s the news from the pews this week. Blessings, Judy
